Angie Gerardo

Coach/owner

Angie loves CrossFit, coffee, puppies, tiny goats in sweaters, ponies, and candy. Angie grew up as a dancer (which is why she can’t stand still when she coaches). She started CrossFit in 2012, fell in love with the way it challenged her and never looked back. Her coaching mission is to make you laugh while holding you to the highest standards she know you’re capable of. She will make you listen to the Deftones while you work out, and you might even learn to like it!

Favorite CrossFit movements: Power cleans, snatch, wall balls & box jumps

Greg Gerardo

Coach/owner

Greg loves CrossFit, craft beer, Bruce Springsteen, football, baseball and New Jersey Greg loves sports of all kinds and has played a lot of football, baseball and softball over the years. He also dabbles in biohacking, curling and axe-throwing. After 10 years in the entertainment industry, he decided to make his hobby of CrossFit into his profession with a mission to help people feel and move better. You can guarantee that you’ll leave his classes moving better than when you entered!

Favorite CrossFit movements: Snatch, Clean & Jerk, pull-ups, high box jumps & rowing

Vega Rietberg

Coach

Vega loves CrossFit, Taylor Swift, animals and buying CrossFit shoes. Vega started CrossFit when she was 13, tagging along to the gym with her mom. She fell in love with getting stronger and has been hooked ever since. She’s a student at UW, studying nursing & nutrition and is excited to share her love of fitness with others!

Favorite CrossFit movements: Handstand Push Ups, Double Unders, Sit Ups, Wall Walks

Emily Strahan coach at SODO Fitness Mechanics

Emily Strahan

Coach

Emily loves CrossFit, rugby, indoor plants, her cat Bella, cooking, hiking & lake days Emily moved to Seattle to complete her Bachelor’s degree in Biology and plans to continue her journey here. She has been doing CrossFit since 2019 but has been surrounded by sports and strength training her whole life. Her background in strength training has truly allowed her to hit the ground running with her CrossFit training and she can’t wait to share her knowledge during her classes!

Favorite CrossFit movements: Anything with a fixed bar or barbell, jumping and burpees!

McKenna Niemer coach at SODO Fitness Mechanics

McKenna Niemer

Coach

McKenna loves CrossFit, rowing, an exceedingly rare steak, and of course, her dogs. McKenna loves to be active and is always down for a pick-up game of any sport. She was born and raised in Seattle and likes to complain about how crowded the city is now. She started CrossFit in 2017 and like most people, has never looked back. McKenna loves coaching people and seeing them achieve things they never thought they could!
